If 2025 was about discovering our tastes and testing our limits, 2026 is about refinement with intent: bolder picks, hotter debates, and an unwavering commitment to indulgent storytelling. Across the year, these books will shape our discussions, fuel our favourite unhinged group chats, and continue evolving the Smut Shelf into a curated archive of everything we love to read.
2025
Spicy. Unapologetic. Unhinged.
The Smut Club officially began in August 2025, and what followed was a gloriously unhinged first chapter of reading together. Our 2025 reads took us through obsessive devotion, morally grey chaos, slow burns that tested our patience, and fast burns that completely wrecked our sleep schedules. This section captures every book we read in 2025 and marks the origin story of The Smut Club, where our inside jokes were born, our spice tolerance was recalibrated, and the Smut Shelf became a full-blown lifestyle.
